Refresh Semantic Domains job

Axiom Intelligence dashboards use data from multiple Axiom tables. For each Axiom Intelligence report, a specialized semantic data model is configured with data for this dashboard. The data is kept in several semantic tables.

Storing the data with the semantic data model ensures that the dashboard is able to present large amounts of data quickly and efficiently.

Semantic data is not dynamic, that is, the data is not automatically updated when there are changes to these tables. A refresh scheduler job is available to process and sync the semantic models and dashboard reports.

The Refresh Semantic Domains job should be configured to run regularly on a daily schedule. It may also be run on an ad hoc basis prior to viewing a dashboard.

To run the Refresh Semantic Domains job:

NOTE: You must have admin privileges to run this job.

1. Use the Launch icon to open the Excel client.

2. Open Explorer and locate the Libraries folder.

3. Open the Scheduler Jobs Library folder, then open the Semantic Data Model Folder.

4. Click Refresh Semantic Domain. The Refresh Semantic Domains job dialog box opens.

5. Click Run Once to run both tasks.

6. Click Results to view the status of the tasks you just ran.
